Dr. Arabi El-Sayed Kishk, President of the Delta University of Technology, witnessed the first introductory meeting of the Measurement and Evaluation Center at the university, which was approved by the Project Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, lectured by Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Fattah, the supervisor of strategic planning at the university and the consultant of the center, in the presence of Dr. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Dean Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology and Director of the Center, Dr. Essam Morsi, Head of the Autotronics Technology Program and Executive Director of the Center, heads of units and members of the Center.
The meeting dealt with the center’s vision, mission and goals, through which the university seeks to achieve leadership in the field of measurement and evaluation, by adopting training and research mechanisms and designing measurement and evaluation tools and strategies, according to international scientific standards.
The meeting also dealt with introducing the center’s units and their work plan, which are the question banks unit, the electronic correction unit, the training and education unit, the analysis, statistics and information technology unit, in addition to the electronic tests unit.
At the end of the meeting, the door for questions and discussion was opened, and the tasks and roles of the work team, the plan, and the goals to be achieved were distributed, in a way that contributes to the development of the elements of the educational process.
Dr. Arabi Kishk, President of the University, stressed the importance of establishing the center, explaining the importance of spreading the culture of measurement and evaluation, preparing question banks and electronic tests, pointing to the keenness of the university, being one of the edifices of technological education and having the latest capabilities, to consolidate digital transformation and electronic evaluation.
The university president added that this meeting is the first for the unit members in the center, hoping that the center will achieve its goals and mission in line with the university’s vision to be a smart, innovative university at all levels, working on applying digital technologies in technological education.
