Kishk added, in exclusive statements to the “Learn Masry” website, that we started with information technology, mechatronics and autotronics programs, then in the following year we added new and renewable energy, then the prosthetics and prosthetic devices program, and this year we added the refrigeration and air conditioning program.
Kishk explained that these programs are being added through a feasibility study and an industrial partner, giving an example of the refrigeration and air conditioning program, saying: “The program is with the industrial partner, the Arab Company, next to us in the industrial area, and they requested a refrigeration and air conditioning program due to a shortage of technologists working in the company, and accordingly we opened the program with it 120 students this year, and as soon as they graduate directly, they will join the company.” There are other companies, and we are always looking for training opportunities for them.
Regarding the study system, Kishk indicated that the technological universities have an educational system of 60% practical and 40% theoretical, in addition to the fact that students are required to train after every year in companies and factories, and a training opportunity is provided for them, and after graduation they include a job opportunity, the last of which was a field visit. Last week, he went to a company in Cairo, and continued: “The student, during the visits, gets acquainted with the factories and paves the way for training.”
Kishk confirmed that technological universities have been planned since 2017, adding: “Any well-planned need will succeed.
Kishk indicated that technological universities have revived the spirit of technical education students, as the university accepts 80% of technical education graduates and 20% of high school graduates, and students have hope to complete their bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees, and the technical education base has been expanded, pointing out that there are specializations that need High school graduates have sciences such as the prosthetics program. Therefore, a percentage of admission to the university has been allocated among graduates of technical education and high school.
And he continued: Technological universities in the governorates have specializations and programs that differ from the specializations of each university, according to the needs of the surrounding region and the governorates.
Kishk said that we pay great attention to student activities within the university with the same interest in the educational process because we want a student and a graduate with a complete personality and how to deal with people and always encourage them to do activities.
He continued: Delta University of Technology has one faculty that includes 6 programs, and the programs are expanded according to the needs of factories, companies and society, and jobs disappear and new ones appear, saying: “The university graduates an academically educated student, a practical applied learner, and a trainee in companies, and thus local and international job opportunities.”
