Sponsored by Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Major General Ibrahim Abu Lemon, Governor of Menoufia, organizes the Delta Technological University headed by Dr. El-Sayed Kishk held a workshop entitled “Scientific Solutions to Preserve the Environment”, next Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in conjunction with Egypt’s upcoming hosting of the 27th World Climate Conference (COP) and the Egyptian state’s keenness to play its pioneering and leading role in addressing environmental problems and climate change.
This comes within the framework of the integration of the university’s educational and research plan with Egypt’s strategic vision and sustainable development goals, and the university’s keenness to contribute to the preparation of the World Climate Conference.
During the activities of the workshop, several scientific and research lectures will be held to come up with scientific solutions to preserve the environment that include several topics, including: modern technologies for energy harvesting and water desalination, biofuel from used edible oil, green hydrogen and its role in reducing global warming, recycling agricultural and plastic waste to produce a wood alternative Natural, in addition to the applications of artificial intelligence to reduce the risks of global warming.
Dr. Arabi Keshk affirmed the interest of the Egyptian political leadership in combating the impact of climate change and adaptation, and in strengthening ways of cooperation in the climate change file, with preparations for hosting the next climate conference, COP27, next November in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The university president added the university’s keenness to support the role of the state to play its leading role in addressing the problems of the environment and climate change, and holding such events establishes the university’s responsibility towards reshaping human resource skills in light of the fourth industrial revolution and the fourth generation of education by adopting the axis of innovation and creativity and linking scientific research. industry and support researchers and innovators.
