Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hisham Abdel-Khaleq, President of Delta Technology University, the Autotronics Technology Program headed by Prof. Dr. Essam Morsi organized a symposium entitled “Automotive Technology and Egypt’s Vision 2030” lectured by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Nashar, former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, m/ Jamal Askar, Chairman of the Industry Committee of the Syndicate of Engineers and an automotive engineering expert, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Salem, Dean of the College of Industry and Energy Technology, a number of faculty members and the supporting body.
The symposium came within the framework of the university continuing its cultural season by organizing a number of seminars and dialogue meetings with students to qualify a generation capable of creating the future.
The symposium dealt with the importance of technology transfer and localization and the use of clean energy as one of the most important goals of sustainable development, in addition to identifying the latest technologies and technologies in the field of autotronics, challenges in the field of automobile manufacturing and maintenance.
Dr. Al-Nashar pointed out the importance of the technological graduate having a scientific reference, skill and good knowledge of various languages, in addition to his ability to innovate and absorb modern technologies and their development.
Mr. Jamal Askar explained the importance of a clean green environment and reducing carbon emissions, in addition to the importance of practical training for students to come into contact with the labor market.
Dr. Hisham expressed his happiness with this symposium, which comes within the framework of the university’s educational and research plan, which is in line with Egypt’s vision and sustainable development goals. He added that the university is keen to provide a scientific and research environment that keeps pace with the rapid technological development and meets the needs and requirements of the labor market.
On the sidelines of the symposium, there was an inspection tour of the college labs, as well as an introductory presentation by some students of Ototronics technology that included their study of the program in addition to the importance and future of the University of Technology for them.
