A joint scientific and research cooperation between Delta Technology University and the Metals Research and Development Center
Prof. Hisham Abdel-Khaleq, President of Delta Technology University, Prof. Emad Owais, President of the Center for Research and Development of Metals in Helwan, signed a joint cooperation protocol to consolidate and enhance prospects and means of cooperation between the university and research institutes and centers.
The cooperation included several axes, including training courses and joint workshops, exchanging experiences and human capabilities, benefiting from advanced equipment on both sides, practical student projects and graduation projects, research projects in addition to participating in the description of academic and practical courses.
Dr. Hisham Abdel-Khaleq stressed the need to expand the base of cooperation and exchange of experiences and work to encourage technological applications in the fields of advanced technology, within the framework of the accelerating technological transformation and meeting the requirements and needs of the labor market, as the university seeks to provide distinguished technological education and prepare qualified cadres to assimilate and develop modern technologies.
While Dr. Emad Owais explained the importance of this cooperation, as one of the center’s most important priorities is to develop the scientific and academic side to keep pace with the modern scientific movement, which would be reflected on the people’s scientific and technical activities so that the center remains able to adapt modern science and technologies in a manner commensurate with the nature of the Egyptian industry.
The signing of the protocol was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Arabi Kish, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Salem, Dean of the College of Industry and Energy Technology, Prof. Dr. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Amr Abdel-Hadi, Head of the Program New and Renewable Energy, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ezzat, Head of the Mechatronics Program, Dr. Abdel Azim Ismail, General Coordinator of Training.
On the sidelines of signing the protocol, the delegation of the Delta Technology University inspected some of the center’s laboratories and units, including: the industrial modeling and laser lab, the technical raw materials lab, the foundry technology unit, in addition to the raw materials concentration and assembly unit.
