The launch of the activities of the first friendship meeting between students of technological universities
received d. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a report submitted by Dr. Hisham Abdel-Khaleq, President of Delta Technology University, about the launch of the activities of the first friendship meeting between students of the three technological universities, which is organized by the Delta Technology University, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al-Hayawi, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Technical Education and Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund, and Dr. Hisham El-Deeb, President of New Cairo University of Technology, and Dr. Mohamed Shukr Nada, President of Beni Suef University of Technology.
The report stated that the organization of events came in implementation of the Ministry's directives to pay attention to various student activities, and to involve students in activities and events of sports, artistic and cultural value that contribute next to the educational process, in providing a distinguished graduate scientifically, physically and psychologically, as well as supporting existing talents, and enhancing belonging among university students.
The report added that the activities included a number of competitions, including: (five-a-side football, tug of war, chess, billiards, table tennis, and fitness), in addition to a cultural competition with the participation of 60 male and female students.
On his part, Dr. Hisham Abdel-Khaleq, the university’s keenness to achieve communication and consolidate bonds of interdependence and knowledge among students of technological universities, in addition to the exchange of knowledge, cultural and social among them, stressing the university’s interest in the participation of students in student activities and various competitions and youth forums, developing their awareness and consolidating the spirit of cooperation and fair competition among students.
The activities concluded with the presentation of shields to Dr. Ahmed Al-Haywi and the heads of technological universities, as well as the supervisors in addition to the students participating in the first friendship meeting.
The events were attended by the Delta Technological University d. Arabi Kishk, Vice President of the University, Dr. Mahmoud Salem, Dean of the College of Industry and Energy Technology, and Dr. Mr. Al-Agouz, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, in addition to a number of faculty members, the supporting body, and the administrative body of the three universities of technology.
