Senate Education Committee Visits Delta Tech University
received d. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a report submitted by Dr. Hisham Abdel-Khaleq, President of Delta Technology University, about the visit of a delegation from the Senate Education and Scientific Research Committee to the university, headed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Badri, deputy commissioner; Within the framework of identifying the national projects implemented by the Ministry of Higher Education, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al-Hayawi, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Technical Education and Secretary General of the Education Development Fund, and Dr. Arabi Booth, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Salem, Dean of the College of Industry and Energy Technology.
During the visit, Dr. Ahmed Al-Badri stressed the importance of the new trend of technological education as an important source of graduating qualified cadres for the actual requirements of the labor market, pointing out that the university pursues strategies in various technological fields, and works to build people who support development in various fields and support the Egyptian industry.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Hayawi pointed out that the academic programs of technological universities are closely related to the industrial areas in which the university is located, in addition to the flexibility they have in changing their programs, according to the needs of national projects and the labor market, explaining that a report was reviewed about the university and its existing technological programs, and its importance to the needs of the market. The work, the future programs that the university is about to open, and the infrastructure and technology that characterizes it.
The members of the committee toured the university campus, which included laboratories, auditoriums, classrooms, the scientific and technological club that contains practical projects for students, in addition to the electronic examination hall and the university’s support for digital transformation. The tour concluded with a meeting with some students who praised the level of education, faculty members and the body The assistants, stressing their happiness to study in technological universities.
On his part, Dr. Hisham Abdel-Khaleq, President of the University, expressed his happiness with this visit, stressing the necessity of applying advanced technology and providing distinguished technological education that combines theoretical and applied qualifications and field training, especially with the university’s latest capabilities and equipment, as the university seeks to open creative and innovative paths for students and raise their intellectual and linguistic level to graduate specialists.
